Abstract

Neurological disorders encompass a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from epilepsy to Alzheimer's disease, each presenting unique challenges in treatment and management. Over recent years, there has been growing interest in the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids, compounds derived from the Cannabis sativa plant, in addressing these disorders. This abstract delves into the current state of research surrounding the use of cannabinoids in neurological disorders, focusing on their mechanisms of action, efficacy, and safety profiles. Cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid system, a complex network of receptors and neurotransmitters involved in regulating various physiological processes, including neuronal function and inflammation.
